Celebration for women

Coming Sunday we hope to have a special celebration for women. On the 8th of March it is International Womenday and so we thought let us organize a special event for women in our area. Many women in the villages have a hard life with lots of difficulties (drunken husband, lack of finances, health problems, etc) So time to spoil these ladies a bit;) We rented a fancy restaurant in Lozova and we invited women from Lozova, Micleuseni and Huzum. We expect around 100 ladies to join this celebration. The program will include songs, poems and some short preachings. Also there will be some food at the end of the meeting. Please pray with us during this week for the women that we invited and are planning to come. Pray that they will be able to come as probably there will be opposition. Pray for the speakers as they prepare their speech and for those who will sing. Pray also for all the practical preparations like transport, food, etc. May God speak to the hearts of the women and may they get to know our Heavenly Father personally!

Aankomende zondag hopen we een speciale bijeenkomst te hebben voor vrouwen. Op 8 maart is het internationale vrouwendag en dus leek het ons goed om iets speciaals voor de vrouwen in onze omgeving te organiseren. Veel vrouwen in de dorpen hebben een moeilijk leven met veel problemen (dronken man, financiële tekorten, gezondheidsproblemen, etc). Tijd om de vrouwen eens even in het zonnetje te zetten;) We hebben een chique restaurant gehuurd in Lozova en vrouwen uit de dorpen Miclueseni, Huzum en Lozova zijn uitgenodigd om te komen. We rekenen op zo'n 100 vrouwen. Het programma bestaat uit enkele liederen, gedichtjes en een paar korte praatjes. Aan het eind is er iets te eten voor alle aanwezigen. We willen jullie vragen om mee te bidden voor de vrouwen die uitgenodigd zijn en van plan zijn om te komen. Laten we bidden dat ze inderdaad zullen komen en dat ze niet verhinderd zullen worden. Bid ook voor de voorbereidingen van de sprekers en de mensen die zullen zingen. Bid ook mee voor de praktische zaken die geregeld moeten worden zoals transport, eten, etc. Laten we bidden dat God tot de harten van de vrouwen zal spreken en dat ze onze Hemelse Vader persoonlijk zullen leren kennen.

Sister Pascha

Last Sunday we rejoiced to see again sister Pascha in the church in Micleuseni. She is home for about a week now and she is telling everyone about how good God has been to her. He was faithful and answered our prayers for healing. The operation went well. Sister Pascha is feeling well and slowly she gains more energy again. Thank you for praying with us! May God bless and strenghten our sister.

Winter

In the last weeks, together with the local church we continued to visit many families in our area. Brother Nicu and his wife are overseeing the work in Dolna and Huzum and we are visiting the people in Micleuseni and Lozova. Every month we are able to bless 75 households with food parcels and also we have blessed around 70 families with firewood. Depending on the weather this week we hope to give more firewood to those in need. May God bless all those who receive His care and may they also receive Him!

Veronica is a mother of 4 small children. During this winter the children had often a cold because the house they stay in is old and moldy. Veronica was very thankful to receive firewood because her husband does not have a stable job and it is never clear how much money they have and their are many needs in her family. 

De mannen

We willen iedereen bedanken die mee heeft gebeden voor de mannenbijeenkomst gisteren. Rond de 50 mannen waren naar de bijeenkomst in Lozova gekomen en de zaal zat dus lekker vol. Het meerendeel van de mannen was geen christen en er was dus een mooie gelegenheid om de mannen (opnieuw) op Christus te wijzen. Het programma bestond uit enkele liederen en een preek met als thema: wat verwacht God van een man? We hopen en bidden dat deze mannen voor God zullen kiezen en hun leven zullen inrichten volgens Gods richtlijnen.

23 februari

Op 23 februari is het een soort van mannendag in Moldavië. Omdat deze datum midden in de week valt heeft de lokale kerk hier besloten om vandaag een speciale evangelisatie bijeenkomst te organiseren voor mannen. Alle mannen uit Micleuseni, Huzum en Lozova zijn uitgenodigd om vandaag om 15 uur gezamelijk deze dag te vieren met een "kerkdienst"en aan het eind samen pizza te eten. We bidden dat veel mannen gaan komen en dat er open oren en open harten zullen zijn voor het geestelijk voedsel. God zegene alle mannen in Moldavië!

Youth conference in Nisporeni

Today a youth conference was organized for all the youth from the town Nisporeni and the villages in the area. Around 100 youth gathered and together they spend time worshiping, studying and listening to His Word, getting to know eachother and playing some games. We pray that the Word that was spoken will have good results in their lives and in their families. God bless the new generation!

Nieuwsbrief Februari 2016

Tieners

Elke zaterdagmiddag is het tienerclub in Lozova. Om 15 uur beginnen we met een kleine bijbelstudie en in de laatste twee zaterdagen hebben we het gehad over Daniel. Vorige week hebben we het gehad over de reputatie en de moed van Daniel om voor zijn geloof uit te komen en vandaag hebben we het gehad over de 3 vrienden van Daniel en hoe zij stand hielden en bij hun besluit bleven ondanks de gevolgen die dat zou kunnen hebben. Aan het eind van de studie bidden we met elkaar en dan is het tijd voor spelletjes! En er wordt zeer serieus gestreden om de eerste plaats! Rond 16:30 uur ronden we af en geven we de tieners ook wat huiswerk mee zodat ze ook thuis nog een keer bezig zijn met het hoofdstuk dat we samen hebben bestudeerd.
We hopen en bidden dat door de studies die we samen doen en de tijd die we samen doorbrengen, de tieners God beter zullen leren kennen en dat ze Hem zullen volgen!  

The Day Centre in Huzum / Het dagcentrum in Huzum

From Monday till Friday the church in Huzum continues to reach out to a group of 20 children. Many of them attend faithfully the day centre and they enjoy to come. The children participate in different activities like listening to Bible stories, handcrafts, singing songs, playing games and they receive help with making their homework. Of course for many of the children, the meal they receive is the highlight of the program. Today we asked the children if they would like to go again in the summer to a camp. All of them shouted yes. We told them that if they want to go to camp we have to pray that God will provide the finances and immediately the children got in "the prayer-position" and asked God for finances. May God answer their prayer!
Of course we continue to pray that every child will know God as their heavenly Father and that also in their families God will be present.

Van maandag tot vrijdag komt een groep van 20 kinderen naar het dagcentrum in Huzum. Veel kinderen komen trouw iedere dag en genieten van alles wat er gebeurd. Er worden bijbel verhalen verteld, knutselwerkjes gemaakt, liedjes gezongen, spelletjes gespeeld en natuurlijk krijgen ze ook hulp bij het maken van hun huiswerk. Voor de meeste kinderen is de maaltijd die ze krijgen het hoogtepunt van het programma. Vandaag vroegen we aan de kinderen of ze van de zomer op kamp willen. Met z'n allen tegelijk zeiden ze: ja! Toen we vertelden dat ze dan tot God moesten bidden voor de financiën om het kamp te betalen, ging iedereen gelijk in "de bid-houding" staan en werd er gebeden voor de financiën. Moge God hun gebed verhoren!
Natuurlijk blijven wij trouw bidden dat elk kind God zal kennen als hun hemelse Vader en dat in hun families God ook aanwezig zal zijn.

Firewood in Lozova

Today we started the working day at 8 o'clock and around 17 hour we finished. Together with some strong guys we were able to bless 13 families with wood. Nearly all the families we visited said the same thing to us: we only have a few sticks left and today or tomorrow we would not have had anymore wood to make a fire. We have seen clearly how God has lead us to those families who were in need of help. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless all the families that received today a gift from Him. May they also receive Him!

Zuster Pascha

Afgelopen woensdag is zuster Pascha geopereerd en prijs de Heer het gaat goed met onze zuster. In vergelijking met de andere patiënten op haar zaal, ziet Pascha er stukken beter uit. Ze loopt regelmatig een stukje heen en weer, ze eet steeds meer en als het goed blijft gaan dan mag ze waarschijnlijk op dinsdag of woensdag naar huis. We blijven bidden voor volledig herstel.

Last wednesday sister Pascha has been operated and praise the Lord it is going well with our sister. In comparising with the other patients who are with her in the room, sister Pascha looks much better. Every day she walks around a bit, she eats more and more and if all keeps goes well, she will be realeased from the hospital tuesday or wednesday. We continue to pray for complete healing.

Firewood

Finally the firewood-day is coming closer! It took a while to find the wood but tomorrow we hope to bless several families in the village Lozova. Please pray with us for protection, guidance and wisdom during the distribution. May He be seen and glorified!

Winter continues....

Until now in Moldova the real cold weather has lasted for about two weeks. People in the village are very happy that it is not so cold outside but of course a fire still has to be made in order to heat the house. As the month february started many families are starting to run out of firewood and they are starting to worry how they will be able to keep their houses warm. Some people go to the forest and collect illegallly wood. In the coming weeks we hope to help between 40 and 50 families in Lozova and Micleuseni with firewood or other heating material. Please pray with us: 1) that we will be able to find a good place where we can buy the wood, 2) that the wood will be delivered quickly, 3) that we will be able to bless those who are trully in need and 4) that He will be known through this work.

Tot nu toe, tijdens deze winter, zijn er ongeveer twee weken geweest waarin de temperaturen dik onder nul waren. Iedereen in de dorpen is blij dat het deze winter niet zo koud is maar natuurlijk moet wel iedere dag de kachel aangemaakt worden. Aan het begin van deze maand beginnen veel families zich zorgen te maken want hun voorraad brandhout begint op te raken en hoe kunnen ze hun huis warm houden zonder hout. Sommige mensen gaan naar het bos en sprokkelen illegaal hout. In de komende weken hopen we tussen de 40 en 50 mensen in Lozova en Micleuseni te helpen aan brandhout. Bid met ons mee dat we: 1) een goede leverancier voor het brandhout kunnen vinden, 2) dat het brandhout snel geleverd kan worden, 3) dat we diegenen kunnen helpen die het echt hard nodig hebben en 4) dat Hij bekend zal worden door dit werk.
