Winterclothes

Next week we hope to bless a group of children with winterclothes/ wintershoes. Please pray with us that we will have wisdom to organize the project in a good way and that this blessing will trully be seen as a sign of Gods love and care!

Dagje uit

Het is herfstvakantie in Moldavië en de jongens zijn dus vrij van school. Alle tijd voor een uitje naar Chisinau! Gisteren was het dan zover: botsautootjes, zweefmolens, 3D film, uit eten bij de Mac/ KFC;) Tja, na zo'n intensieve dag is het resultaat natuurlijk dat het heeeel stilletjes is in de auto op weg naar huis!;)

Teenagers in Lozova

About a month ago I started a teenager club in Lozova. So far it is not too crowdy but the times we spend together are very good. We study the 10 commandments and we had some good discussions about what it means to: worship only God, what is an idol, honor the sabbath and honor Gods name.

We continue to work with the children and teenagers in Lozova as we see that many adults and elderly are firmly holding on to their Ortodox believe and are not open to listen to Gods Word. We know that the future of the church is the younger generation, so we keep investing in them and trust that God will keep His promise:

Isaiah 55:11 - So also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it. 

Graag willen we vragen of jullie willen blijven bidden voor de gezondheid van Andrei. Hij plast tegenwoordig bijna elke nacht in zijn bed (ondanks het feit dat we hem wakker maken en naar de wc laten gaan). We geloven dat God hem kan genezen en Andrei een gezonde jongen zal worden!

Please continue to pray for Andreis health. Nearly every night he wets his bed (despite the fact that we wake him up and take him to the toilet) but we know that God can heal him and make him a healthy boy!

Ps 30:2 - 2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.

Prayer for Moldova

We continue to pray for Moldova. The situation is getting worse but we know and trust that God has all in control and He can put people in charge who will fear Him and will try to do the best for the Moldovans. God bless Moldova!

De jongens / The boys

We willen iedereen bedanken die in de afgelopen weken mee heeft gebeden voor de school resultaten van de jongens. Marin vindt het ondertussen al iets leuker op school en hij leert nu cijfers schrijven en daarnaast vind hij kleien ook erg leuk. Andrei en Sava gaan iedere dag vol goede moed naar school en ze proberen zo hoog mogelijke cijfers te halen. Zodra ze thuis komen, is het eerste wat ze zeggen: hallo, vandaag heb ik een 7/8/9 gehaald op school. Andrei heeft zelfs vorige week een aantekening in zijn agenda gekregen dat zijn gedrag uitstekend was, een 10! voor zijn gedrag! Hij was helemaal in de wolken. We zien duidelijk positieve veranderingen en we hopen en bidden dat we de jongens kunnen blijven motiveren om goede resultaten te halen en zich netjes te gedragen op school. Prijs de Heer voor de geboekte resultaten en we zien uit naar meer goed nieuws;) Hartelijk dank voor jullie gebeden en steun!

We would like to thank all of you who have been praying with us in the last weeks for the schoolresults of the boys. Marin started to enjoy school a bit more. At the moment he is learning to write the numbers but his favorite activity is playing with dough. Every day Andrei and Sava go to school and aim to receive high grades. When they come home from school the first thing they say is: hello, today I received a 7/8/9 at school. Andrei, last week even got a note in his agenda that his behavior was excellent! Of course, he was very proud of his results. We clearly see how there are positive changes and we hope and pray that we will be able to keep motivating the boys to learn well and behave well at school. Praise the Lord for the results received so far and we look forward to more good news! Thank you very much for your prayers and your support!

Winter is coming!

Since two days the temperatures dropped in MD. The winter is coming! During the nights it's around freezing point and so also in our house the time has come again for the daily fires. Last week we received new firewood and so now we just have to chop all the wood and voila, we are ready for the winter!
We hope and pray that God also will provide for those families that do not have yet enough wood to heat their house.

Dankdag in Micleuseni

Vandaag was het de eerste regendag van de herfst en dus een mooie gelegenheid om God te danken voor de zonneschijn en regen en de oogst van dit seizoen! We hadden een gezamenlijke dienst voor de mensen uit de dorpen Micleuseni, Huzum en Lozova en dus zat de kerk goed vol. Ook dit keer had iedereen weer een aandeel in de dienst: kinderen, jongeren en ouderen. Ondanks de droogte is er een vrij goede oogst geweest en dus hebben we de Heer gedankt voor Zijn zegeningen en de manier waarop Hij voorziet in wat we nodig hebben!

 Dank God, onze Vader, altijd voor alles in de naam van onze Here Jezus Christus. - Efeze 5:20

De kerk zat vol en het werd dus ook lekker warm;)

Tijdens het kinderprogramma hebben we een boom gemaakt met bladeren waarop we onze dankpunten hebben geschreven

Church in Lozova / Kerk in Lozova

Please join us in prayer for the church in Lozova. Yesterday Spiridon was called to the major office to hear the desicion of the local councel about the permission to build a church on the land we bought. Of the 9 council members, 6 votes against en 3 withhold their vote. Outside the majors office the ortodox priest had gathered a crowd of people that yelled at Spiridon as he came out of the office. The next step is to put in another request and wait again for another council meeting in 3 months time. Legally the local authorities cannot refuse to give permission but it is probably going to take a long breath! Please continue to pray for Lozova!


Bid met ons mee voor de kerk in Lozova. Gisteren was Spiridon aanwezig bij een raadsvergadering op het gemeentehuis om de beslissing te horen over de bouwvergunning die we hebben aangevraagd voor de kerk in Lozova. Van de 9 raadsleden hebben er 6 tegen gestemd en 3 hebben niet gestemd. Toen Spiridon uit het gemeentehuis naar buiten stapte, wachtte daar een flinke groep mensen op hem, die opgetrommeld waren door de ortodoxe priester. De mensen begonnen gelijk allerlei dingen te roepen en ook de ortodoxe priester was weer aanwezig met de nodige commentaren. De volgende stap is nu om een nieuwe aanvraag in te dienen en over 3 maanden komt de raad weer bij elkaar dus we zullen geduld moeten hebben. Legaal kan en mag de lokale overheid de bouwvergunning niet weigeren maar het is waarschijnlijk een kwestie van een hele lange adem! Graag gebed gevraagd voor Lozova!

Church in Huzum

We want to thank you for your prayers for the church in the village Huzum and of course we want to ask you to continue to pray! In the last half a year there has been growth of the number of visitors at the sunday afternoon service. Several parents of children that attend during the week the day centre started to come to church. We hope and pray that as the people hear Gods Word, that they will accept Jesus as their Savior. Also since about a month on wednesday evening there is prayernight in Huzum and also this churchmeeting is attended by 5 to 10 people from the village. Praise God for the changes we see and we keep praying for the salvation of the people in Huzum. God bless Huzum!
