Left with only one leg but with a BIG heart!

Yesterday we went to deliver two food parcels in the village Soltanesti (Spiridons home village).
One of the ladies we visited is Liuba who is around 55 years old. Years ago she was in an accident and got very badly hurt. The doctor told her that the only way to save her life is if they would take her leg. And so he did. Since then Liuba has been hopping around on one leg and with crutches. If you look at her situation, you would expect that you would find a bitter and sad person but contrary Liuba is a person full of life, who is full of questions, curious and has lots of comments. When we entered her house, she welcomed us and immediately started to ask why we had come. We explained that we came to give her a food parcel but that we also wanted to assure that she would know that God loves her and is taking care of her. Liuba shared that she is praying every day that God would forgive her and help her every day. When we gave her a food parcel, she started to ask if several others in the village also had received. We could see that she truly was concerned about others who are in need too. Even though it is very hard for Liuba to walk, she tries to visit others in need as often as she can. Many people could take an example from this lady about being content in every kind of circumstance. She misses one leg but has defiantly a BIG heart!
