A well for Tanea

Some weeks ago we wrote in our prayer letter about Tanea and her sister Viorica and how we wanted to help them by digging a well so life would become easier for them. God answered our prayers and we received finances to dig a well. Some time past by before we were able to really dig the well. Because of rain and mud, the machine was not able to come and dig but finally yesterday it was dry enough to install the machine and today the digging started. After several hours, the well was ready and below you see the pictures of the result. And as you can see while they were digging the rain started again so it became a bit of a muddy job;-) But praise God for the work that was done today! And as soon as the mud dries up, we can finish the work....

Last week we officially bought the piece of land in Lozova for the future church! We want to thank all who have been praying with us and also we want to thank all who helped financially to make this happen! May God bless you! We praise God for His plan for the people in Lozova and we keep praying that many will get to know Him!

8 Maart - vrouwendag

8 Maart is het een soort van moederdag in Moldavie. 's Morgens in de kerk in Micleuseni hadden we een speciale dienst en ook de mensen uit Huzum waren aanwezig. Het programma bestond uit heel veel gedichtjes en liedjes over lieve moeders en de preek ging over hoe God het gebed van Anna verhoorde (1 Samuel) en hoe God ook in deze tijd gebeden van moeders verhoord en alle moeders werden aangemoedigd om te bidden voor hun man, kinderen, huishouden, etc.

Veel tranen werden er door moeders weggepinkt toen de jongeren twee liederen zongen over hun lieve moeder.

En ook de gedichtjes over de lieve moeders ontbraken niet

Een volle kerk in Micleuseni en aan het eind van de dienst kreeg iedere vrouw een rode tulp

En naast de tulp kregen alle vrouwen ook nog een zakje met 12 kg aardappelen

's Middags hadden we in Lozova ook een speciale (moeder) bijeenkomst in het plaatselijke cafetarie

En nadat ook hier de tulpen waren uitgedeeld, hebben we samen pizza gegeten en iedereen kreeg daarna natuurlijk ook een zakje aardappelen voor mee naar huis.

Voedselpakketten

Gisteren was het weer zover: voedselpakketten maken! 140 stuks! Gelukkig hadden we een aantal sterke jongens erbij en dus in ongeveer 2 uurtjes was het werk klaar. En voor degenen die nieuwsgierig zijn wat er nu zo ongeveer in zo'n pakket gaat, zie foto hieronder. Na een kleine bereking kwamen we al gauw op zo'n 15 kg!Tis dus duidelijk dat we er zwaar aan tillen;-)

En uiteindelijk heb je dan een hele berg! Nu nog "even" in plastic zakjes stoppen.

En natuurlijk helpen we ook bij het aanduwen van de auto door alle modder... 

En daar glijdt de bus de straat uit! Tot volgende maand;-)

Today it is 3 years ago that Dana went to be with our Lord.
I am grateful for the very many great memories I have of her.
Looking forward to the day we meet again!

Bible competition

Yesterday the youth group from Micleuseni and Huzum participated in a Bible competition. The hopes to win were high and the preparations took several hours. The theme of the competition was the book of Exodus. Our youth group had to prepare a song, a skit and a preaching about the 10 commandments and the golden calf.
