Last school day

Today was the last school day in Moldova. For many children this is a day they have been waiting for because it means 3 months of summer holiday started today! Andrei passed his examens with good results! Thank you for praying for him. Sava is not allowed to the final examens and so he won't be able to finish school this year. What will happen next is not clear yet. We pray for wisdom as we try to talk to him and see what is the next step. Marin is waiting impatiently for the kids camp to start in 3 weeks and so he is very happy that school is finished cause this means, we will go to the camp soon;)

Start!!

Vandaag zijn we begonnen met de verbouwing van ons huis. Er is veel werk te doen maar dag 1 ging voorspoedig....op naar dag 2....

Today we started with the reconstruction of our house. There is lots of work to do but day 1 went well....on to day 2....

Lozova - update

Yesterday we heard back from the lawyer of the major in Lozova and he officially announced that the major will not sign our request for a building permission. Nearly a month ago we put in this final request and now we got the answer. The next step is to prepare different documents for a court-case and than our request will be decided in court. Please pray for: wisdom for the lawyer we work with, Spiridon as he has to collect the different paperwork and for the court-proces to go as quick as possible.

Gisteren hebben we bericht gekregen van de advocaat van de burgemeester in Lozova. Hij liet ons weten dat het verzoek dat we een maand geleden hebben ingediend, niet zal worden getekend door de burgemeester. Nu moeten we dus alle verzoekschriften en afwijzingen bij elkaar zoeken en zal er in een rechtzaak besloten worden of we wel of geen toestemming krijgen. Bid mee voor: wijsheid voor de advocaat die onze zaak zal vertegenwoordigen, voor Spiridon die alle papieren moet verzamelen en dat de rechtzaak zo snel mogelijk zal plaatsvinden.

Sport evangelism in Micleuseni

Today at the stadion in Micleuseni around a 100 children and youth enjoyed different sport activities organized with help from an OM sport team, the local OM team and the local church. We praise God all went well, we had great weather and we pray that through all that was said and done God will be glorified!

Bouw in Huzum / Construction in Huzum

In de afgelopen 3 weken is er hard gewerkt door enkele broeders aan de kerk/ dagcentrum in Huzum. Er is een tweede verdieping op het bestaande gebouw gebouwd. De extra zaal die is ontstaan zal worden gebruikt als een kerkzaal en de eerste verdieping zal in gebruik blijven voor het kinderwerk. Hieronder wat foto's mbt de bouwontwikkelingen. Graag willen we jullie vragen om mee te bidden voor een goede afloop van dit bouwproject en bid ook mee voor Zijn leiding en bescherming

In the last 3 weeks there has been worked hard by several brothers at the Church/ Day Centre in Huzum. There has been placed a second floor on the existing building. The extra room that has been created will be used for church gatherings and the first floor will be continued to be used for the children ministry. Below some pictures from the building activities. Please pray with us for a good finish of this project and pray with us for His guidance and protection.

A refreshing week / een relaxte week

Last week Spiridon and I took a small holiday break in Turkey. It was very nice to have time to read books, swim, drink lots of coffee and of course spend time together (without being disturbed by anybody;). So after this small week we are ready to start the summer activities! Please pray for us as we start to prepare the program for the childrens camp in June. Pray for wisdom, creativity and fresh ideas that will inspire the children to follow Jesus! Praise God for the finances we have received so far and lets continue to pray that we will be able to gather all the funds needed. Thank you for your support and prayers!

Vorige week hadden Spiridon en ik een klein weekje vakantie in Turkije. Het was super om tijd te hebben om boeken te lezen, te zwemmen, koffie te drinken en tijd met elkaar door te brengen (zonder gestoord te worden door deze of gene;). Na deze kleine week zijn we er klaar voor om onze zomer activiteiten te starten. Graag willen we vragen om gebed bij het voorbereiden van het kinderkamp dat we in juni hopen te houden. Bid voor wijsheid, creativiteit en frisse ideeen die de kinderen zullen aanmoedigen om Jezus te volgen! Prijs de Heer voor de financieen die tot nu toe zijn binnengekomen en laten we bidden dat we ook de ontbrekende financieen nog bij elkaar zullen krijgen. Hartelijk dank voor jullie gebeden en steun!
