Yesterday we visited Spiridon's parents and they told us that in their village, there was an old lady who is 90 years old and she had asked her daughter, who was working in Russia, to come home for a visit. The lady wasn't feeling too well and so she wanted to have a last chat before she would die. The daughter came home but something unexpected happened, the daughter (about 60 years old) died while visiting her mother. Yesterday she was buried.
One of the main subjects in the news in MD and discussed by many people, is an accident of 8 young people. They had been to a bar, drinking and partying and after that all 8 went in a small car, drove nearly 200 km/hour through Chisinau, hit a tree and all of them died. Yesterday on the news, they showed how the family and friends in tears were saying goodbye:

Last week during the outreach, together with two girls from England, I went to help an old lady to do some cleaning in her house. When we arrived, Maria who is 76 years old, shared that she is preparing for when she dies. As she said: "people will come to my funeral and than my house need to look nice so we need to wash the windows, mob the floor, paint the entrance, etc". She showed us in one of her cupboards, all the towels and other things she prepared for when she is death (It is an orthodox tradition that you need to give certain things like towels to relatives and/ or friends as a kind of charity). Maria had everything prepared and was ready to die, she said. But was she really?
We all know that many unexpected events can happen and nobody knows how long we have to live but how much do I really help others around me to be ready?
Romans 14:8 - If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
