Last weekend...
We have been busy and of course updating the blog is not so high on the priority list and internet is often not around in the villages so now finally some pictures of our last weekend. We went on Saturday down to the South of MD and attended the women meeting in the village Paicu. Around 50 ladies joined this evening and we rejoiced together while singing, playing games, sharing testimonies etc. On sunday morning we were at the church service in Paicu and again many people came. Spiridon served in a very practical way by driving the van and picking up and dropped off people that came from neighboring villages. We enjoyed again to be together with the brothers and sisters from the local church in Paicu and pray that God continues to bless this village! See pictures below:

On Sunday evening we came back to Chisinau and early the next morning we went to Nisporeni to help Spiridons father harvest the corn. Spiridons mother is in America and so some extra hands to help were most welcome. From 10 in the morning till 18 we collected the corn and got a bunch of work done! Praise God for the good harvest!

Nederland versus Moldova??
Afgelopen week kwam ik in een typisch Moldaafs restaurant het volgende schilderijtje tegen:
Het deed me denken aan de Nederlandse variant:
(Er is blijkbaar toch wel een connectie tussen MD en NL)
Na afgelopen week een drukke week te hebben gehad met allerlei uitstapjes in heel Moldavie met businessmensen, hadden we de afgelopen week, 3 dagen van training over leiderschap.
Even omschakelen dus van hele dagen rondrijden of rondhobbelen door Moldavie, vertalen en zorgen dat de verschillende projecten gepresenteerd werden, naar luisteren, aantekening maken en nadenken hoe het met onze leiderschapsvaardigheden staat! We hebben iig weer nieuwe dingen geleerd dus dat is goed!
Al met al, kijken we terug op 2 goede weken maar zijn blij dat morgen we een vrije dag hebben!

Busy week
This week a group of businessmen and partners are visiting us. Yesterday we visited some projects in Chisinau like the organisation "Beginning of Life", who are working with vulnerable women and ladies who have been trafficked. Also we visited some homeless people and delivered food.
The needs are big and often heartbreaking...
Today we travel to the North and tomorrow to the South of Moldova to see more of the work that OM MD is involved in. I enjoy a lot to see and hear how God is working in people's lives, while sitting in an office you don't see so often with your own eyes the results of the work so it is good to be out the office and be in touch with the real world!

Holiday in Romania
Yesterday we came back from a week of holiday in Romania. We had a nice time spending time with some friends, visiting Dana's family. We saw many beautiful views and enjoyed the fresh mountain air!
