Last week in Lozova we were able to give 55 families a food package. Before and after the meeting we were able to talk to the people and everyone expressed thankfulness for the offered help. We continue to pray for the people and may all of us put our trust in Him!
In the last couple weeks we have been very busy: over a 100 families were blessed with a pile of firewood. Elderly people or those who did not have the possibility to chop the wood themselves, received already chopped wood, others received small tree trunks. We were able to help people in Lozova, Vorniceni and Stejareni. Of course all people were pleasantly surprised and very thankful to receive such a nice gift. As people heat their houses from half October till half April there is a lot of wood needed to stay warm during the long winter months. Due to low pensions and/ or lack of work, for many households in MD it is hard to buy enough wood for the whole winter. As we chatted with people during the unloading of the wood, some people shared that their monthly income is 30$. One m3 of wood costs around 45$. So this wood was a great blessing. We pointed the people to the Lord and told each one to thank the Lord for His provision. We continue to pray that people will feel Gods love and care for them and put their trust in Him.
In de afgelopen weken zijn we druk geweest: meer dan 100 families hebben we een stapel brandhout kunnen bezorgen. Ouderen en/ of mensen die niet de mogelijkheid hadden om het hout zelf te hakken, kregen kant-en-klaar gehakt hout, anderen kregen kleine boomstammetjes. We hebben mensen in Lozova, Vorniceni en Stejareni kunnen helpen. Natuurlijk waren alle mensen blij verrast en erg dankbaar voor dit mooie cadeau. Mensen verwarmen hier hun huizen van half oktober tot ongeveer half april dus dan is er veel hout nodig om warm te blijven in de wintermaanden. Aangezien hout duur is, was deze hulp een grote zegen. Tijdens het uitladen van het hout, maakten we een praatje met de mensen en sommigen vertelden dat hun pensioen ongeveer 25 euro is. Een m3 hout kost rond de 35 euro. Dus dit hout was een mooie zegen. We hebben alle mensen erop gewezen dat ze de Heer moeten bedanken voor deze hulp want Hij is degene die voorziet. We blijven bidden dat mensen Gods liefde en zorg zullen erkennen en een keuze zullen maken voor Hem.

In the coming month we want to distribute firewood to people in the neighborhood. The wood has already been ordered, we are now waiting for a phone call when it will be delivered. Many requests we have received and still the list is growing. We get regularly phone calls from people with the question whether there is also a wood project this year. We praise the Lord that again there is the possibility to bless people. We would like to ask for your prayer for a smooth and safe distribution but of course also that people will be thankful to the One who provides everything!
