Party in the weekend!

Yesterday we were present at the wedding of our friend Oleg. Spiridon and Oleg have been friends for a long time. And while we kept the moldovan tradition alive (taking picture with the happy couple), we realized that our picture with Oleg and Zina might turn out a bit special:
A short happy couple with some tall people on the side....;-)


September and October are THE months to get married in Moldova and so in our agenda we have another 2 weddings waiting for us: next weekend and the weekend after that. So more parties to come (and more Moldovan wedding pictures too of course).

87 years and just born again!

Lats weekend we visited the village Paicu. Both Spiridon and I spend several months of our life there before we were married. So for both of us it was great to see again old and young friends!
One of the ladies we visited is Marina. One year ago she became a Christian and at the end of this month she will be baptized. She is a bit worried that she might die until the baptism but seeing how vital she still was we encouraged her that all will be fine. But the problem is that before she repented, she would communicate with spirits and inter fear for people who came to ask for her help. Now the time of baptism is coming closer and the spiritual battle is getting heavier too. She can't sleep at night very well and we prayed together that God would protect her and strengthen her with peace and good night sleeps!

On Saturday evening I took part in the evangelism for women and again it was a joy to see around 30 women gathered in the church for fellowship and encouragement. Let us keep praying that these women that heard the Gospel, will accept God's Love. Marina is just one lady who made a choice for God but God wants so many more ladies in Paicu to be saved!

Fietsen in het park!

Vandaag een ontdekking gedaan in het park van chisinau. Net als in NL hebben ze ook hier de leenfiets ingevoerd! Nadat ik de aanwijzingen had doorgelezen van hoe het leensysteem werkt was het me in het geheel niet duidelijk maar het is al heel wat dat we fietsen hebben om te lenen! Dus verder geen geklaag! En misschien op een goeie dag, kunnen we ook nog weleens gebruik maken van de fietsen!

So after a day of training and studying, it was time for some relaxing yesterday evening!
And as you can see, different people had different emotions during  this nice game, which of course was won by the orange team!!

Studyweek

This week we have three days of studies. Two years ago we visited a church in Florida and attended there a conference called Worldlead. This week some people from this church are visiting Moldova and again we are having some studies about our walk with the Lord and leadership. May God bless us to gain as much information that is useful for us!
