Today we were able to bless 20 children in the village Vorniceni with a backpack with school supplies. For about 4 hours we drove around in the village from house to house and visited 20 families. Many of the children live with just one parent or a grandparent. We told the children that Jesus Christ loves them and that He had given them a nice present. Most of the children started off a bit shy but after we took a look together in the bag, they got more excited. One boy started to point out all the supplies that the teacher had told him to bring but he didn't have. But tomorrow he will bring all that was required to school! Two ladies from the village showed us the way and where the different families lived. We were able to also bless the children of these two ladies and it was very nice working together with them. At the end of each visit we gave the child also a small booklet about the Lord Jesus and we encouraged them to read it with their whole family. May God bless these families and continue His work!
Vanmiddag hebben we 20 kinderen in het buurdorp Vorniceni een rugzak met schoolspullen gegeven. Ongeveer 4 uur reden we rond in het dorp van huis naar huis en bezochten we 20 families. Veel van de kinderen wonen aleen met hun moeder of opa/oma. We hebben de kinderen verteld dat Jezus Christus van hen houdt en dat Hij hun dit leuke cadeau heeft gegeven. De meeste kinderen waren in eerste instantie een beetje verlegen, maar nadat we samen in de tas hadden gekeken, was de blijdschap duidelijk te zien. Een jongetje liet allerlei spullen uit de tas zien die hij op school nodig had maar tot nu toe niet had kunnen meebrengen. Maar morgen kan hij dus alles meenemen wat nog nodig was! Twee vrouwen uit het dorp lieten ons de weg zien en waar de gezinnen woonden. Het was een goede samenwerking en aan het eind van alle bezoekjes konden we ook hun kinderen een rugzak geven. Aan het einde van elk bezoek gaven we het kind ook een klein boekje over de Heer Jezus en we moedigden hen aan om het met hun hele familie te lezen. We bidden dat de Heer deze families verder zal zegenen en dat Hij zijn werk zal voortzetten!
